Hey everybody, it’s Tyler here.I am doing a deep dive into the career of Natalie Imbruglia
Natalie Jane Imbruglia was born on February 4 1975 in Sydney, New South Wales Australia to Maxene and Elliot She is the second of four daughters.
Natalie started her Career in 1989 when she starred in an advert for Twisities and two years later appeared as the Pineapple Princess for the Bubblicious Bubblegum.
Natalie left school at 16 to concentrate on acting and her big break came in 1992 when she was cast as Beth Brennan (later Willis) in Australian Soap Neighbours.
On her Casting Natalie told the Sydney Morning Herald “I was jumping all around the living room. It changed my life overnight.” Natalie later left the show and reloacated to London.
During that time she recorded a demo of four songs and was singed to BMG as her version of Torn impressed RCA Records.
24 November 1997 Natalie released her Debut album Left Of The Middle which spawned 4 hit singles including the UK Number 2 hit Torn, Big Mistake, Wishing I was There and Smoke.
Left of the Middle peaked at Number 5 in the UK earning her a 3 times platinum disc.
In November 2001 after a three year break Natalie released her second album White Lillies Island which was inspired by her Home in WIndsor.
White Lillies Island was the first album to include Copy Protection which prevents Consumers to illicitly copy the album.
it contained 3 Singles That Day, Wrong Impression and Beauty on the Fire.
This album itself peaked at Number 15 in the UK but i think it should of charted higher.
2003 saw Natalie appear in the Box Office Smash Johnny English as Lorna Campbell which she portrayed in a Bond Girl style.
April 2005 Natalie released her third album Counting Down The Days which spawned two singles Shiver and Counting Down The Days This has a diffrent sound from Natalie’s first two albums.
The album became a UK Number 1 and earnt a Gold Disc.
Natalie released her first compelation album Glorious The singles 97 to 07 in September 2007 whcih peaked at number 5 in the UK.
In 2009 Natalie released her fourth album Come To Life it was released in the UK through Amazon on 14 Febuary due to being deleyed with Natalie becoming a Judge on X Factor Australia.
The album produced one single titled Want another single called Scars was to be released but sadly got cancelled.
2010 saw Natalie becoming a Guest Judge UK X Factor and later went on to become a Judge on X Factor Australia.
After the release of Come To Life Natalie took a six year hiatus and Moved to Los Angelees and apered in three films.
After six years away She released her fith studio album Male which consisted of covers by male artists.
Male peaked at Number 20 and a cover of Instant Crush was released as a single.
Natalie took Male on an acoustic tour From April to May 2017.
Starting from 2018 Natalie annouced she was in the studio working on new Music. In July 2019 Natalie singed back with BMG to help release some new material.
Natalie announced in October 2019 that she gave birth to her son Max Valentine Imbruglia which he was concived with IVF.
September 24 2021 Natalie released her sixth album Firebird which had six single releases including Build It Better, Maybe Its great and the KT Tunstall co written track Nothing Missing.
Firebird peaked in the UK at Number 10.
Natalie took part in as Panda for The Masked Singer which she won in Febuary 2022.
She made a cameo apperance as Beth in the final episode of Neighbours her appearance was filmed alongside Holly Valance who played Felicity Flick Scully.
As of 2022 Natalie has won 20 awards in the UK and Worldwide.
I really love Natalie as a singer and she is very talanted in music and acting hopefully Natalie appers in more TV and Film.
