‘The ZOOTS’ Bring Their Smash-Hit ‘Sounds of the 60s’’ Show To A Very Special Local Audience

Award-winning band ‘The ZOOTS’ from Wiltshire have sold over a million downloads, wowed audiences of stage and screen in more than 30 countries and played over 1000 shows.

They have performed at iconic venues including Alhambra Theater, Windsor Royal Theatre and The Palladium. Yet according to the band, their latest challenge comes on Thursday 7th September — because that’s when ‘The ZOOTS’ come to Salisbury Arts Centre for their first time in one of their first Wiltshire shows!

The Zoots lead singer Jamie explains: “The ZOOTS have played in front of audiences on four continents, from Israel to Italy, Havana to Venice, Barcelona to Montego Bay — but there’s something especially nerve-wracking about playing to a crowd near where you live!!” Harriet Lowther is The ZOOTS’ backing singer and lead percussionist. (And, naturally enough, an artist and model to boot.)

She explains: “It will be very special for us to perform our 60s show in Swindon where we have so many friends. It’s our first time doing our own show in Salisbury and it will be really special to play to our neighbours and friends! We’ve been so busy performing overseas we’ve not done much in Wiltshire at all”

“We really enjoy bringing back memories for people with the music from the 1960s. The whole band enjoys the energy that the audience brings to our shows. We love nostalgia and coming back to a place with wonderful memories is the perfect place to make it happen”

The Sounds of the 60s show is a two hour show performed by The Zoots is an energetic non stop performance, taking you on a journey back in time with fifty hit songs from the 1960s.

The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Stones, The Kinks, The Searchers, Dusty Springfield, The Small Faces and The Monkees are just some of the bands The Zoots will be covering. Despite not being able to perform much in the last two years, the show has recently received an award from GBI for Most Outstanding Decade Music-Themed Entertainment Act.
