The Old Road Tavern in Chippenham changes hands with a familiar face in charge

The Old Road Tavern in Chippenham has recently changed hands, in a manner of speaking.

Long term tenant turned landlord Lindsey Miller has taken on the popular establishment, close to Chippenham train station, full time and promises more live music, comedy and all the things that have made the Old Road one of the town’s iconic going out spots.

Home to all manner of entertainment in Chippenham, the Old Road has long been the home of the Irish Sessions, as well as a pop up stop on iconic comedy tours and warm-ups, playing host to Russell Howard, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer and many more in recent years.

On top of tickling you pink, the Tavern plays host to regular music nights covering multiple genres.

You could walk in one night and catch some of the country’s best touring musicians, such as Sad Song Co. and Non Canon who dropped in late last year. Or could catch locally sourced pop goodness such as Kate Lomas, math rock madness from local promoters Vamos Promotions or something a little heavier. Whatever your musical or comedic taste, the Old Road Tavern has you covered.
