Teenager entrepreneurs launch multi-language learning game

A group of teenagers from a Young Enterprise group have created and are now selling a multi-language learning game, Domi-Know.

The company, Quartz, has progressed through the City and County rounds of the Young Enterprise competition, and will be competing in the Regional Final on the 21 June. Domi-Know is based on the classic dominoes game, but takes a 3D format with wooden blocks being used. The players match foreign language words to their corresponding pictures, so that they’re having fun whilst learning new vocabulary. Our current game contains French, English, Spanish and Mandarin on each face of the cuboid block. By including English, we enable the children to check their answers without the need for an answer grid or adult. Company representative Kate Whittington said: “It’s been a hugely interesting and exciting journey, as we’re all between the ages of 16 and 17 with no previous business experience. We’re passionate about getting our game into as many households as we can so that as many children as possible will be learning languages.” Contact the company via their Facebook, Instagram or twitter link. https://www.facebook.com/quartz.oxford/ https://www.instagram.com/quartz.oxford/ https://twitter.com/quartzoxf
