Shakespeare Live

Shakespeare Live is back!

We are thrilled to present The Winter’s Tale for seven performances from 5th - 10th July.  This searing tale of marital jealousy in 18th century winter-time Sicily is tempered by a frankly fairy-tale second half among the peasants of Bohemia, and a joyful happy ending that pulls all of the story back together.

Your safety is our focus. Back in the gorgeous gardens of Cleeve House, this time with a stunning backdrop of Salisbury Plain, we have arranged for Covid-secure seating,  in two marquees facing the raised stage, with careful attention to safety, sight lines and comfort. The marquee sides and back can be removed for optimum air circulation. Seats will be allocated by party and according to the date booked, so the earlier you book, the nearer the stage you will be. Depending on government regulations, the number of seats available for each performance may be increased as the booking period goes on.

There will also be open air groundling spaces available but these will be at the sides of the stage so audibility and view may be slightly  compromised.

The usual facilities of Cleeve House - bars, refreshments, toilets and parking - will all be available.

Tickets from www.shakespearelive.com / 07780938107 cost between £10 and £22.50.
