Following on from completing a string of sold out headline dates in February and April this year, critically acclaimed spoken word artist George The Poet announces his second nationwide UK tour for 2015.

The tour will kick off on 2nd October in Sheffield at The Plug, and from there will travel to Newcastle, Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Norwich, Oxford, Bristol, Cambridge and London before finishing on 19th October in Brighton at Concorde 2. Full details on all dates listed below.

He will be playing Oxford’s O2 Academy on Sunday October 11.

Having attracted the attention of music artists, actors, politicians and royalty alike with his socio-political, street-savvy verse 24 year old George The Poet is set to not only emerge as one of the UK’s most unique talents, but also as the compelling voice of a generation. After breaking startling new ground on the poetry circuit with his first collection of poetry ‘Search Party’ (published by Virgin Books in February), the Radio 1 championed, BRITs Critic’s Choice Award nominated and BBC Soundpoll shortlisted artist is set to release his debut album via Island Records later this year.

In other news, George The Poet will be performing at a number of festivals over the Summer – including Wireless and T in The Park - and will be releasing ‘Search Party’ via Island Records on 15th June. Following on from the release of ‘1,2,1,2’, ‘Cat D’ and ‘Wotless’, this latest cut from George’s forthcoming debut album highlights George’sdesire to implement change and encourage others to join him while also nodding to those who’ve inspired him. Produced by Matty Benbrook, ‘Search Party’ recently premiered on Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record.
