Disney's The Lion King stage show to visit Bristol next February

Bristol’s Hippodrome theatre will run performances of The Lion King for five weeks. 

The first performance of the critically-acclaimed musical will take place on 17 February and the show’s run will end March 19. 

Showings on Tuesdays through to Fridays will take place at 7.30pm and Wednesday, Saturdays and Sunday performances will start at 2.30pm. 

A spokesperson for the event said: “Watch in awe as giraffes strut, gazelles leap and birds swoop bringing the Serengeti, and the story of Simba, to life all around you…”

Tickets for The Lion King will go on sale to ATG Theatre card holders and groups of 10 or more on Wednesday 22 September at 10am. 

Bristol Hippodrome bookers will be able to purchase tickets on Thursday 23 September at 10am. Emails will be sent out with a booking link for these individuals. 

General on-sale will begin at 10am on Friday 24 September. The Hippodrome will also host access performances of The Lion King:

- Sign Language Interpreted on Wednesday 2 March, 7.30pm

- Audio Described on Wednesday 9 March, 7.30pm

- Relaxed Performance on Tuesday 15 March, 5pm 

- Captioned Performance on Wednesday 16 March, 7.30pm
